Gisèle has signed up to participate in an exciting event to raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. The Kilimanjaro Grannies have pledged to walk at least 25 of the 8,000 kilometres that the Canadian Grandmothers have set as a goal for themselves. A virtual walk of Canada.
This is a very special walk for Gisèle as June 13th would have been her brother Michel’s 54th birthday. She will be walking in his memory once again. Our goal is to raise $500.00 or $20.00 per kilometre but we can’t do it without your help!
We can assure you that the funds are going directly to the grassroots in Africa, where community-based projects are doing so much to turn the tide of HIV/AIDS.
